The series of prints "36 species of Fuji", first published in 1831-1832, became the hallmark of its author, Katsushiki Hokusai (1760-1849) and still remains one of the symbols of Japanese culture of the Edo era. The founder of the landscape genre in Japanese woodcuts, uniting the fine traditions of Japan, China and some European countries, Hokusai had a noticeable influence on European painting and decorative art.
The next edition in the Pinakoteka Anthropos series publishes Hokusai’s masterpiece in a format intended for artists and designers, professionals and amateurs. Torn sheets with reproductions are convenient to copy and use as an element of decor in the interior, and a block of contour copies can be painted independently.
