The book includes two tales about cuddly friends, Bo the elephant and Felix the mouse. "The Birthday That Went According to Plan." Dreamy elephant Bo meets a quick-witted mouse Felix on the street, and both realize that they want to be friends. But how do you become friends? For example, to eat a pud of salt together or to share joy in half. The elephant's birthday is coming up, and Felix decides to organize a party for Bo. They make a plan: a concert, a cake, balloons, a surprise! The birthday party is a success, and Bo makes an important discovery: joy is not less if you share it with someone. "A Little Seed's Big Journey." A gust of spring wind brings Felix into Bo's house. The little mouse pulls a small seed out of his pocket. It's time to think about the harvest! What will grow from this seed is unknown. Felix wishes it was a round head of cheese. And Bo wishes it was a flower - big and beautiful. They plant the seed in the city park, water it, watch it germinate and reach for the sun, save it from the encroachment of the billy goat and the summer drought. Bo rejoices at the huge flower, and Felix rejoices at the round fruit. And then the whole town rejoices at the harvest. It turns out that the elephant and the mouse grew a huge pumpkin that was enough to feed everyone! This book was invented and drawn by artist Alena Chernaya. First the stories were born, which she told to her little daughter and other children. The heroes of these stories are never bored, and miracles happen to them in the most ordinary places: at home, on the street, in the park. Then the idea for the book was born and the illustrations appeared. In 2019, the series "About Big and Small" won in the contest "Image of the book" in the category "Author's book". Recommended for reading aloud to children from three years old.
