Liya Geraskina started writing as a child - she even wrote her final school essay in verse. But she did not realize that literature was her vocation right away: she worked as a librarian at a toy factory and taught at an adult school. Only after the Great Patriotic War she began writing seriously: she began writing plays, scripts based on fairy tales, stories. For her long life (and Liya Geraskina lived to 99 years), she created many wonderful works, and her stories and fairy tales for many years are among the ten most popular books for children. One fine (or rather terrible) day Vitya Perestukin got five D's at school. At home, his mother was suspiciously silent, and he had to sit down for lessons. Having hastily solved the problem and received in the answer one and a half diggers, Vitya was about to go to play soccer, as suddenly... There was a terrible rumble, the room lit up with green light, and in the corner appeared strange little men. Could Vitya imagine that very soon he and his cat Kuzya would fly to a magical land where carnivorous cows roam and buns grow on trees? And the hero of the book "In the Land of Unlearned Lessons" will be able to get out of this confusion only if he gives the right answers to the questions in the school textbook.
