K. Burmistrov's book is devoted to a topic practically unexplored in modern humanitarian science - the presence of Kabbalistic motifs in the works of Russian authors of the "Silver Age" and the first wave of Russian emigration. Paying special attention to the analysis of sources that made it possible to get acquainted with the concepts of Jewish esoterism, Burmistrov considers the heroes of his book as original thinkers who sought to develop their own religious and philosophical worldview. The study focuses primarily on the views of several famous cultural representatives of the first third of the twentieth century - A. Bely, M. Voloshin, G. Storm and B. Poplavsky. Poplavsky, while touching upon a wider range of authors. The author also considers the attitude to the Kabbalah in theosophy, anthroposophy and other European esoteric schools of the early twentieth century. The research is based on the study of an extensive range of sources in various languages, as well as archival materials introduced into the scientific turnover for the first time. Konstantin Burmistrov - Candidate of Philosophy, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
