Stalik Khankishiev has become a bright phenomenon in Russian culinary literature. He is known to the public for his books on oriental cuisine: "Kazan, Brazier and Other Male Pleasures", "Kazan. Culinary self-study", "PLOV. Culinary research", "MANGAL".
But it turns out that Stalik loves and knows how to cook not only pilaf, manty, shashlik and shurpa! His repertoire includes dozens of dishes that are known and loved by almost the entire population of the former USSR. And the new book includes the most detailed, proven recipes for dishes that can form the basis of the food system of almost any family! Especially since the recipes in the new book are just such - from family notebooks, carefully kept for decades.
The first chapter of the book is devoted to the dishes that Stalik was fed by his mother and German grandmothers in his childhood, but these dishes are not so much German as international. Very many families in the Soviet Union in the 60s and 70s ate roughly like this.
The second chapter contains recipes from the period of Stalik's youth, their first family recipes with his wife in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Numerous preparations and preserves are also included. According to Stalik, their guests still often ask for a jar of special canned tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, or suddenly, unexpectedly pickled cherries or sauerkraut! Jams, where each recipe has a specialty secret, sweets, simple and reliable desserts that never seem to go out of style!
The third chapter, as usual, is the most difficult! In it, Stalik talks about the recipes that came to his family in his maturity, when he became professionally engaged in cooking. These are popular recipes from all over the world, but each of them is creatively reworked, has a unique touch and promises to be very tasty!
All recipes that may have already been found in previous books have been carefully removed from this book. There is practically not a word about Uzbek or Azerbaijani cuisines, which are native to S. Khankishiev. Everything here is completely OTHER!
Only one thing remains unchanged - the author's professionalism, healthy aspiration for perfection, demanding to himself and at the same time amazing ease in describing the most difficult things. Photos of the author became even better, brighter and more detailed, polygraphic execution, as always, flawless, 420 weighty pages and light, unusual cover make the book a great gift this time not only for men who are fond of oriental cuisine, but literally for everyone!
