Princess Pyeonggang flatly refuses to marry Go-gon and leaves the castle. She finds refuge in the secluded mountain cabin of Ondal and his blind mother, Mrs. Sa. Far from the luxury of the palace, Pyonggang learns to live anew as an ordinary girl: she helps around the house, cooks, and learns a lot about the world.
But no matter how much she enjoys her simple life, the princess knows for sure that Go Wonpyo will not stop until he gets his hands on all the money and power in the country. So the wise Pyonggang devises a plan to overthrow the Go family, and for several years, step by step, she tries to bring it to fruition. However, the enemy is as cunning and sly as a snake and is not going to lose to the young princess. Who will emerge victorious from this confrontation?
