The Adventures of Captain Vrungel

Marine business writer Andrei Nekrasov knew firsthand: very young he joined a fishing vessel in Murmansk as a sailor, and later came to the Pacific coast and traveled from Chukotka to Posyet. He was a stoker, a fur trader, a navigator, and even engaged in organizing the whaling industry. In the same years he began to write and publish in children's magazines and newspapers, and many of the plots of his stories were taken from life. Captain Vrungel also had a real prototype - it was Captain Andrei Vronsky, who headed the first whaling trust in the Far East, and at leisure liked to tell exciting tall tales of sea life. It is no coincidence that Captain Vrungel is called the Soviet Munchausen. With wit and prowess our captain never yielded to the famous baron, even surpassed him. But could anyone in the world be able to save the squirrels of the entire island, engulfed in fire, survive a storm of ten points, and then come to the aid of a sinking sailing ship and pick up the victims of the wreck, when on the horizon - the ninth shaft? This is not even Munchausen can do. But in one thing Vrungel and Münhausen are very similar: all their stories are absolutely true. And can we expect other stories from a man with the surname Vrungel? For primary school age.
