The life of Igor Vsevolodovich Mozheiko (1934-2003) was in two different planes. Some knew him as an orientalist, doctor of sciences, employee of the Institute of Oriental Studies and author of works on the history of Southeast Asia. Others read fantastic stories that Mozheiko published under the pseudonym Kir Bulychev. By the end of the twentieth century. Mozheiko became one of the most popular fiction writers in our country. Who has not seen the cartoon "The Mystery of the Third Planet"? Its main character - Alice Selezneva - was invented by Bulychev. At the beginning of the XXI century. published a collection of his works - 18 volumes! In them, an important place is occupied by a cycle devoted to the adventures of Alice; stories about her are considered the most famous works of Bulychev. In the middle of the twentieth century, Stanislav Lem sent his hero Ion Quiet into space, where many amusing adventures occurred with this newfound Munchausen. The heroine invented by Mozheiko - a girl from the future Alice Selezneva - also began to travel through space. Such a move turned out to be successful and fruitful. This is the secret of the success of "Aliciana". However, from under the pen Mozheiko came out a lot of novels and stories with other characters. With such works Mozheiko and introduces readers to this book. It includes nine novels and fairy tales: "Children in a cage", "Bloody Hood, or the Tale after the tale", "River Doctor", "Starship in the forest", "Two Tickets to India", "Photograph of an alien", "Black valise", "Hercules and the Hydra" , "Aliens", as well as ten poems. Like the previous books Bulychev in the series "Library of World Literature", this edition is decorated with drawings by Evgeny Tikhonovich Migunov (1921-2004). His style is easily recognized by his confident stroke and amazing dynamism. Eugene Tikhonovich almost always depicts characters in motion, and this is not accidental, because he worked extensively and fruitfully in animated films. In 1939 Migunov entered the art department of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography, where one of his mentors was the famous director, artist and screenwriter Ivan Petrovich Ivanov-Vano. Migunov became not an ordinary animator, but a real innovator of drawn and puppet movies. His findings and techniques played an important role in the formation of the modern school of Russian animation. At the same time Yevgeny Tikhonovich was an excellent graphic artist. Since 1961 he began to do illustrations for the magazines "Murzilka", "Veselye Kartinki", "Pioner" and "Krokodil". In 1965 his drawings were used to illustrate the famous Strugatsky novel "Monday Begins on Saturday". In manner and technique, these drawings were very similar to his illustrations, which decorate this book.
