"Charlotte's Web" - the most famous work of the American writer Alvin Brooks White, winner of the Newbery Medal and nominee for the H.C. Andersen Award. The wonderful story of Fern, Wilbur and Charlotte did not end on the pages of the book: in 1973 the inseparable friends became the heroes of an animated film, and in 2006 White's story was made into a widely popular movie. And the story began on a spring day, when eight-year-old Fern saved from certain death and took in the care of a weak newborn piglet, which gave the sonorous name Wilbur. The girl was very attached to the pet, but the baby grew up, and he was waiting for the usual for fat piglets, but unenviable fate - to be on the Christmas table. A wise spider named Charlotte helped to change his fate. In her person the piglet found not only an eloquent and educated interlocutor, but also a real savior - it was Charlotte who came up with a cunning plan to help Wilbur not turn into a roast, but become a celebrity!
