Short comic strips or, as they are called, "drawn pantomimes" about the adventures of a pot-bellied bald father and his mischievous shaggy-haired son are world-famous works by the German cartoonist Erich Oser (1903-1944), who worked under the pseudonym E.O. Plauen.
These humorous stories in pictures without text consist, as a rule, of 6 frames. In them, the characters get into various worldly situations, from which they find a non-standard way out. Each character has its own character. Dad looks like a solid man in years, but inside he is still a mischievous child, and this is his true boyish nature now and then breaks through. Son - a prankster and fidgety, and often he gives his father a lot of trouble. But despite this, he sincerely loves his parent, sees him as a friend and a reliable protector. Dad, in turn, adores his offspring and is proud of him in his heart, although he does not always allow himself to show his tender feelings. Between the main characters - a special bond of two people who are related by blood and spirit. And to tell about it, words were not needed at all. It is this that bribes the reader and makes stories about father and son real little masterpieces.
