I Can't Keep Silent: Articles on War, Violence, Love, Unbelief, and Non-Resistance to Evil

This is a collection of selected articles by the great Russian writer, whose powerful voice resonated and continues to resonate throughout the world. Leo Tolstoy always responded to Russia's most pressing and pressing issues, and he was deeply concerned with the fate of its citizens. This collection includes three articles that reveal his gift as a thinker and publicist. "Come to Your Mind!" is an anti-war article. It was written after the outbreak of the Russo-Japanese War and was first published in English due to censorship. In his manifesto "I Cannot Remain Silent," the writer vehemently opposes the death penalty, and in his article "The Law of Violence and the Law of Love," he condemns all violence against others. Discussing war and peace, love and death, faith, duty, and free will today, we cannot avoid references to these powerful, polemical texts. The foreword to the book was written by Pavel Basinsky, winner of the Big Book Prize and Leo Tolstoy's biographer.
