There are things a woman does just because she's a woman. Like fainting for no reason at all. And there are things that a woman doesn't do just because she's a woman. A woman probably can't just go out and buy fifty percent of a publishing house. Or can she? Lucy Tedbury is the leader of the suffragette movement. She's long since given up on her personal life and chosen her cat Boudicca as her best friend. To shed light on the disenfranchised status of women, Lucy and her companions decide to take control of the largest London publishing house. But the perfect plan falls apart when a notorious knave and ladies' man, the handsome Lord Ballentine, stands in their way. He's willing to step aside if Lucy will spend the night (shame on her?) in his bed. Lucy accepts the lord's offer, and in the flames of passion Tristan soon realizes that he risks falling into his own love trap.
