The collection continues the series of books by the Seance school, based on master classes for our students. The new book is a recording of a meeting with Bakur Bakuradze, a master of the screenwriting course.
Bakuradze is one of the regular heroes of Seance, whom we have been following since his very first film, and, in our opinion, one of the key modern Russian directors. The conversation with him, as is usually the case at school, was not limited to discussing his works, and from the films Snow in My Yard, Brother Deyan and Shultes, the conversation moved on to general issues of cinema: about the difference between auteur and audience cinema, the search for one's own style and the state of "existence" as the main subject of interest for a true artist.
The second part of the book publishes a discussion by students of the film Shultes at the seminar of Lyubov Arkus and Vasily Stepanov, as well as articles about Bakuradze's films written for the Seance magazine.
