"Carthage must be destroyed!" These words of the Roman senator Cato the Elder are known to everyone. But few people thought about what actually happened. Why did the words of an embittered Roman lead to the destruction of the greatest trading city-state of the Mediterranean, which did not pose a threat to Rome and was even bound to it by a onerous treaty?

... After stepping on a mine in the Syrian desert, a military translator from Russia unexpectedly finds himself in ancient Carthage, or rather Kart-Hadasht, as the locals called it. He finds new friends there, starts a family and does everything to save this ancient and beautiful city from complete destruction by the Romans.

The Third Punic War will end completely differently than it did in our history. Kart-Hadasht, despite Cato's calls, will not be destroyed...
