The Singer Company House is one of the most recognizable buildings on Nevsky Prospekt, and it can definitely be called a business card of St. Petersburg.

The building was erected in 1904 according to the project of Russian architect Pavel Suzor, academician of architecture of the Imperial Academy of Arts.

At different times, in addition to the Singer company, the building housed sewing workshops, the American Consulate, a publishing house and one of the most famous bookstores in Russia, the St. Petersburg House of Books.

We invite you to learn the history of this outstanding cultural monument and a vivid example of Art Nouveau - from the beginning of design to the present day.
