This textbook is the third in a line of physics textbooks for basic school, created by one team of authors. The sequence of presentation of material in the line: 7th grade - first information about mechanical phenomena, pressure in liquids and gases, work and simple mechanisms; 8th grade - thermal, electromagnetic, optical phenomena; 9th grade - mechanical, quantum phenomena, structure and evolution of the Universe. All textbooks are two-level: the material of the first level is addressed to all students, the material of the second level - primarily to those who will be interested in physics. Questions and tasks at the end of paragraphs are also divided into two levels of difficulty. A distinctive feature of all books of the line is a large number of color illustrations.
The second part of the textbook complies with the educational standard of the second generation and the Model Basic Educational Program of Basic General Education. It contains qualitative, computational and experimental tasks grouped by thematic sections, each of which has three levels of complexity. Answers to the calculation problems are given at the end of the book, and some of them have instructions or solutions.
