In this book, the Diary of a Gallipolitan is published for the first time in its entirety. The basis of this work is N.A. Raevsky put down his diary entries, which he kept from the day the Russian army left the Crimea and quartered it on the territory of Gallipoli. The value of this work lies in the fact that in it, in addition to describing the events, Raevsky also tries to analyze and understand the reasons for the failure of the White movement, focusing on his political miscalculations. Such an approach to assessing the Civil War is noticeably out of the habitual cliché of White Guard literature and memoirs. The book also includes additional materials prepared by the author and directly related to the period described: orders, documents, reports, etc.
