Vaclav Nijinsky (1889-1950) - the eighth wonder of the world, the king of the air, the god of dance, as his contemporaries called him - was an outstanding dancer and choreographer who made a notable contribution to the art of Russian ballet.
For just over ten years he delighted his admirers with his extraordinary talent - first on the stage of the Mariinsky Theater, then as a member of Sergei Diaghilev's company. The images he created in ballets by I. Stravinsky, C. Debussy and A. Adan became classics of world choreography, and Nijinsky himself was imitated by the best dancers in the world. His fame was enormous, but suddenly at the peak of his career he had to leave the stage: the artist was diagnosed with a severe mental illness. That's when he began writing his notebooks, giving them the name "Feeling". These notes are something between a diary and a personal letter. They contain reflections on life and death, creativity and craft, friendship and betrayal, love and hate, a conversation about God and the soul. Frank and profound thoughts allow us to plunge into Nijinsky's inner world and better understand him.
