Viktor Mikhailovich Chernov (1873-1952) - author of works on sociology and the agrarian question, one of the founders and chief theorist of the Socialist-Revolutionary Party, minister of the Provisional Government. In 1918 he was elected chairman of the Constituent Assembly. In his book, he recalls the revolutionary days of shocked Russia, those events in the formation of which he was directly involved. He sharply accuses the tsarist government, and then "democracy" of talkativeness and destruction, reproaches the power of fear, and calls the bloc with the Cadets, who dictate their terms, unrealistic and harmful. He speaks about the October Revolution of 1917, which he categorically did not accept.
