The reader is invited to continue the first ever specialized printed work on the armament of the Russian army during the First World War. This book, like the previous one, was written primarily from the point of view of those who had to fight with these weapons - soldiers and officers of the Russian army at the beginning of the 1914th century. In domestic practice, an attempt to describe this kind is made for the first time. Thanks to this, the book will be useful to specialists in history, costume designers, military history reenactors, as well as to anyone interested in the history of the Russian army in 1917-1914. The second book of the series tells about machine guns, automatic rifles, pistols and revolvers, both in service with the Russian army in 1917–XNUMX, and officially not in service, but used by the troops: outdated domestic and foreign systems purchased from the allies or captured as trophies. A special place in the book is occupied by the description of experimental systems of automatic weapons, without which the reader's understanding of the level of development of domestic weapons and technical thought at the beginning of the XNUMXth century would be incomplete. For each sample described in the book, a brief history of its creation and adoption is given, and the main changes that the system underwent during its release are highlighted. Much attention is paid to the use of weapons in the troops, their advantages and disadvantages in the eyes of a soldier. For the first time in domestic practice, the items of the material part of machine guns, in particular, machine tools, carts and pack devices, are described in great detail. The information given in the book about lighting pistols and special tools is unique. When writing the book, materials from archival funds were widely used, as well as published sources from the beginning of the XNUMXth century, mainly special and technical literature, which today are a rarity. The book is supplied with extensive illustrative material both from museum funds and from private collections. Much of the information contained in the book is being published for the first time.
