This collection contains archival photographic materials of the Extraordinary Republican Commission, which conducted investigations of Nazi crimes in Latvia, materials from the archives of the Riga Military Museum, the Documentation Center on the persecution of National Socialist regimes in Bad Arolsen, as well as photographic materials from the German State Archives. The collection includes photographic documents concerning the history of the camp in Salaspils for civilians, as well as camps for Soviet prisoners of war in Riga and Salaspils. For the first time, modern colorization technologies will allow you to see old archival photographs in color. In addition, data on former prisoners of the civilian camp in Salaspils were compiled and published. The general database of persons displaced to the territory of Latvia as a result of Nazi punitive operations in 1942-1944 contains more than six thousand names.
