The book continues the "children's silent film" series by German artists Doro Göbel and Peter Knorr. Previously published books in the series are "Out of town" (2012) and "In the circus" (2012). This time the action of the book takes place on the streets of a small modern town. On 7 spreads, readers will have to live one exciting, eventful day - from morning until evening. There are about two dozen main characters in the book, which you need to find at each turn and see how each day turned out. And this is not counting the numerous other residents of the town, with whom something is sure to happen at every turn. On the pages of the book you can find representatives of more than 60 professions! There is a veterinarian, and a baker, and a glass washer, and a waitress, and a flower girl, and a dentist, as well as mechanics, musicians, taxi drivers, sellers, builders, rescuers, and so on. Adults can discuss with the child what people of a particular profession do, and at the same time ask who their young reader wants to become in the future. Looking at the book, children will learn to see and notice the details, trace the logical connections between events, independently compose a story from the pictures. In addition to the fact that this book is informative and, of course, developing, it can simply make you laugh and give a good mood to both children and adults, because the artists did not stint on jokes and funny moments. For example, a gluttonous raccoon cannot help but evoke a smile, which strives to steal food either from a glass washer, or from a gaping builder, or from a vegetable seller. And a witty story with a mammoth bone found by an excavator during roadworks and, after many adventures, found its place in the city museum. There are so many storylines in the book that it's impossible to follow them all at once. They intertwine, intersect, occur simultaneously, as in a real movie - and as in real life!
