Julian the Apostate (332-363) - Roman emperor Julian, reigned from 361 to 363, Neoplatonist philosopher, writer. In history, he is known as the Apostate (Greek Apostate), as the Christians called him. He devoted his life to the revival of "pagan" cults, understood by him as the center of ancient culture. Supported by a part of Roman society, he openly declared himself a supporter of the pagan religion, made an attempt to reform it on the basis of Neoplatonism and Mithraism.
The next book in the series tells about the emperor-philosopher, his contemporaries and the events of that ancient era.
