Multimedia project "1917. Free History, which the book is based on, is an imitation of what social networks would look like if they existed in 1917. The project was implemented on the basis of archival materials, which were broadcast in the social media format. Within its framework, more than 1500 accounts of people, newspapers and institutions of the early twentieth century were created. The materials of the Russian archives, the archives of the Hoover Institution (Stanford), the German Foreign Ministry (Berlin), Columbia University (New York), the University of Leeds, the University of Helsinki were used in the work.
