The story of A. Pushkin "Dubrovsky" tells about the love of Vladimir Dubrovsky and Maria Troekurova - the descendants of two warring landlord families. There are different opinions about the story: as a failure of a poet who wrote in the spirit of Walter Scott and vice versa, as an achievement - it was with this story that A. Pushkin completed the provincial and opened the world Russian prose. Nicholas I saw in Alexander Pushkin a dangerous “leader of freethinkers”: even the story “Dubrovsky”, beloved by many, was conceived by the author as a novel from the Pugachev era with a hero-nobleman who went over to the side of the rebels. But who did not empathize with the young Dubrovsky, who became an honest noble robber, a sort of Russian Robin Hood, moreover, devoted to his only beloved? The plot of The Queen of Spades was prompted to Pushkin by the young Prince Golitsyn, who, having lost, put on the advice of his grandmother, Princess N.P. Golitsyna, three cards once prompted to her by Saint-Germain, and regained what she had lost. The theme of the game is presented by the author as a fateful fatality, and the expression “Three, seven, ace”, which has become an aphorism, has become a symbol of fate that cannot be deceived.
