The first publication of a genuine archival and investigative file of A.M.Shchastny, a major Russian military leader, under whose command an unprecedented Ice Campaign of the Baltic Fleet was carried out in April 1918, which saved 236 ships from capture by the Kaiser's troops. A month later, AM Shchastny was arrested (his trial was clearly inspired by L.D. Trotsky) and on June 21, 1918, was sentenced by the Revolutionary Tribunal under the All-Russian Central Executive Committee to be shot for attempting a counter-revolutionary coup. In 1995 AM Shchastny was fully rehabilitated.
