The "dashing" 90s have sunk into oblivion, they were replaced by the "zero-painful". In Russia, a gradual, difficult restoration of statehood began, patriotic consciousness was reviving, but culture continued to work for destruction. Continuing the conversation started in the first collection of interviews "From the Empire of Lies to the Republic of Lies" (1986-2005), the author - a well-known prose writer, playwright and publicist Yuri Polyakov - explores acute problems related to politics, education, family, media, cinema, theater , literature ... Brilliantly owning a word, turning each interview into an action-packed dialogue, he fights for the triumph of common sense in life, for "returning self-respect to the nation." Working on new novels, plays, articles, Yuri Polyakov at the same time travels a lot around the country, broadcasts on TV, participates, as a member of parliamentary commissions and presidential councils, in discussing topical issues of the country's development. The author concentrated all this experience in interviews, which he collected in a kind of socio-political "inter-diary". Here is the second book of this diary, covering the period from 2006 to 2013. Giving the name to the collection, Yuri Polyakov used his own neologism - "Lack of power".
