What is an e-gift card?

An e-gift card is similar to a plastic gift card, but without a physical medium.

This card is accepted only in the kniga.lv online store.

What denominations are available?

There are both preset denominations for your convenience (10, 20, 50, 100), and the option to specify your own denomination starting from €10.

The e-gift card has no expiration date.

If the amount on the e-gift card is not enough to cover the purchase, you can pay the remaining amount using a bank card, another e-gift card, or PayPal.


What else do you need to know?
  • You can't buy a gift card at a discount.
  • You can use a gift card to pay for both goods and delivery.
  • You can use one gift card to pay for several different purchases.
  • You can send gift cards to multiple recipients at once - in this case, each recipient will receive their own card of the specified denomination.
  • It is possible to add a personal message to the recipient.

You can go directly to the category you are interested in in the menu or use the search to find the book you are looking for.

If you have found the product you are interested in, then by clicking the "Add to cart" button, you put the selected product in your cart and can continue searching. Clicking the cart symbol in the main menu opens the cart panel. You can go to the cart page or directly to the checkout page.

On the checkout page, you can once again check the contents and cost of your order, fill in your details for delivery and select the payment method.

After you have filled in all the required fields on the checkout page, confirm the order by clicking the appropriate button. You will receive notifications about the order and its status by e-mail. After receiving payment, the order will be processed and shipped.

Yes, of course! You can order a book that is not in our online store on the special page.

Our managers will contact you within 5 business days of receiving your request and, if the item is available, will inform you of the price and delivery time. If you are not satisfied with the order, simply decline! Filling out the application does not oblige you to anything.

We can allow pre-orders for some products (not just new ones). This means that the item is currently out of stock, but we are confident that it will arrive in stock.

Once you have found the edition you are looking for, go to the product card by clicking on the book (product) title or on the cover.

You will be taken to the product page. The product page with the "Pre-order" status is distinguished by the absence of the "Buy" button. In its place is the "Pre-order" button.

Click the "Pre-order" button, and the item will be added to your cart, after which you can proceed to checkout.

Once the item arrives at the warehouse, your order will be collected and transferred to the delivery service you selected when placing your order.

The fulfillment period for such an order usually takes 2 weeks.

Please note that the fulfillment time for pre-orders may vary depending on the workload of publishing houses. Unfortunately, we cannot influence them.

Orders are shipped Monday through Friday. Orders placed on weekends are processed on Monday.

Orders are processed within 3-5 business days after payment confirmation, after which we transfer your order to the delivery service. During discounts and in December, the order processing time may increase to 7 working days.

Delivery times in Latvia are 2-3 working days, 4-6 working days in Lithuania and Estonia, for other EU countries - 6-12 working days from the moment the order is handed over to the courier service.

We will replace your item if it is damaged or has a hidden typographical defect. Hidden defects are considered to be:

  • turned, missing, mixed up pages;
  • incompleteness and inconsistency of block elements;
  • unsealed pages, except for those provided ("blank" sheets);
  • glued pages and damage to text or illustrations when opening;
  • cut edge of text or illustrations on a strip ("clipped" text or illustrations);
  • incorrect insertion of the block into the cover, the block is turned over, "someone else's" block;

If a replacement book is not available, we will refund your money.
We refund the money within 3 working days of receiving the returned book by transferring the funds to your bank account using the method you used when paying for the order.

You can return your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order.

We reserve the right to refuse a return if the product has been used, is damaged, is not complete, or has lost its original appearance. You can learn more about the return policy on the special page.
