The collection "Bruno the Bear in the Forest" continues a series of informative picture books created by the famous Swedish writer and illustrator Gunilla Ingves. The book includes two stories: "Bruno the bear and the ants" and "Bruno the bear, Akke the frog and the little inhabitants of the pond." In the first story, Bruno the bear walks through the forest, where he meets the ant Eric, who invites the bear to look into his house, in the anthill. An inquisitive bear, when he wants, can become small. How? This is his secret! Having become the size of an ant, the bear dives into one of the passages of the anthill and learns about how a large ant community lives. Then his friend dog Lolla comes running after him and together they go to watch the ants graze aphids and extract sweet syrup. The bear then neatly enters his observations in a diary. Mishka's notes and drawings take up four pages: an anthill in a section, ant "professions", food for ants, their friends and enemies, as well as other interesting information about the life of ants. In the second story, Bruno the bear goes to the pond and meets the tadpole Akke there, who teaches the bear to swim and dive. At the bottom of the pond, friends help a caddisfly larva to fix the house and can barely get away from a huge dragonfly larva. Suddenly, the bear notices that Akke's tail has disappeared and he has turned into a frog. In the evening, they sit on a leaf of a water lily and see how a dragonfly larva gets out of the water and throws off its shell. In the morning, the dragonfly spreads its wings and soars into the air. Everything that he managed to see and learn during this walk, the observant bear writes down in his diary. Four pages are filled with notes and drawings: Akke's life cycle from egg to adult frog, enemies of frogs, as well as insects and other creatures that he saw on the pond. Bruno's bear books with tender illustrations, lots of details to look at on every page and charming characters teach children aged 3-6 to love nature.
