Evpatoria. In the twentieth century, this small resort town in the west of Crimea, which has a rich history and unique architecture, like other cities of the peninsula, experienced many terrible events. The local population suffered especially many trials during the revolutionary upheavals of 1917 and the bloody Civil War that followed. One of its manifestations was the mass red terror, which acquired its most cruel and terrible forms in Yevpatoria. The most famous tragedy occurred in early January 1918, when hundreds of people were brutally murdered by the Bolsheviks and other left-wing radicals in just a few days. In contrast, other episodes of violence remained virtually unknown for a long time. The purpose of this work is to fill this gap.
