February 1945. Senior lieutenant of the Air Force Mikhail Devyataev is threatened with death in the German camp Sachsenhausen. The brave pilot repeatedly tried to escape, but failed each time. By chance, he manages to change the status of a suicide bomber to the status of a penal, after which he ends up in a concentration camp on the island of Usedom in the Baltic Sea. It is there that the Nazis are secretly working to create a "weapon of retaliation." Mikhail understands that he must at all costs inform his people about this. But how? The camp is well guarded, surrounded by desert terrain and the endless cold sea. The only chance is to escape from captivity on an enemy plane. This plan looks crazy, but nothing is impossible for a desperate ace...
