In the book you can hear the voices of those who worked, communicated and were friends with the ballerina: Rodion Shchedrin, Valentin Elizariev, Boris Akimov, Yuri Vladimirov, Mikhail Lavrovsky, Lyudmila Semenyaka, Natalia Kasatkina, Boris Messerer, Viktor Barykin, Valery Lagunov and others. In addition to exclusive interviews conducted by the author personally, work was also carried out in the archives of the Russian State Library of Arts, the library of the Theater Museum. Bakhrushin, which houses Maya Mikhailovna’s notebooks, as well as in the Bolshoi Theater Museum. These materials and publications are a snapshot of the time in which Plisetskaya lived and worked, and thanks to these invaluable documents, we have the opportunity to see how not only the language of her interviews and the articles she wrote, but also her views changed.
